Calculation Principle
Section titled “Calculation Principle”To calculate the average receipt — the total revenue from sales is divided by the number of sales.
Included in the calculation are products and services from paid sales.
Not included in the calculation:
- sales without payment.
Calculation Example
Section titled “Calculation Example”There were 2 sales during the period:
- Sale 1: product — price $2000, discount $200, 2 pcs; service — price $1500, no discount, 1 pc.
- Sale 2: product — price $500, discount $50, 2 pcs.
Calculate separately:
-
Sale 1
Product revenue — (2000 - 200) × 2 = $3600
Service revenue — $1500
Total revenue for sale — 3600 + 1500 = $5100
-
Sale 2
Product revenue — (500 - 50) × 2 = $900
Shop totals:
Revenue from sales — 5100 + 900 = $6000
Average shop receipt — 6000 / 2 = $3000
