Recommendations for purchase
Shows how many products are recommended for purchase by analyzing sales, current stock, and supplier orders for the selected period.
Calculation Principle
Section titled “Calculation Principle”To calculate purchase recommendations, the current stock of items is subtracted from sales for the period. Paid sales, completed orders with full or partial payment, and products ordered from suppliers are taken into account.
What is not included in the calculation:
- orders with statuses “New”, “In Progress”, “Deferred”, “Ready”, “Closed Unsuccessfully”;
- sales without payment.
If the “All locations” filter is selected, the indicators are summed across the entire company.
Indicators:
- Number of items — total items recommended for purchase.
- To purchase — quantity of product recommended to purchase.
- Purchase amount — how much product needs to be purchased in monetary terms.
Calculation Example
Section titled “Calculation Example”We analyze sales and stock for the period from July 1 to August 1.
- Product 1: stock 10 pcs, sales 50 pcs, on order from supplier 20 pcs
- Product 2: stock 25 pcs, sales 0 pcs, on order from supplier 0 pcs
Calculate separately:
-
Product 1:
Recommended to purchase — 50 – (10 + 20) = 20 pcs
-
Product 2:
Recommended to purchase — 0 – (25 + 0) = 0 pcs (no order needed)
Total purchases:
Product 1 — 20 pcs
Product 2 — 0 pcs (not included in the list)
Summary
